Black Friday isn’t special anymore. There’s so much hype over this one day in November, when in reality, what used to be one insane day of shopping has become a month-long event.
Walmart has been releasing “Black Friday deals” since the start of the month, Best Buy is having daily Black Friday doorbusters, and World Market has been running an event called “Black Friday all month long.” Amazon just straight up has a week of Black Friday deals, which honestly feels kind of acceptable for a retailer that’s solely online.
You can get equally good deals throughout the month both online and in stores, and retailers continue to release new sales through the end of the year. So, can we all just agree to stop pretending that this one day is so exclusive? Read more...
