Pyrosomes are free floating sea creatures that produce bioluminesce. They are also incredibly delicate, making them difficult to examine. Scientists at the Wyss Institute, in collaboration with marine biologists, have created a human-operated soft robot hand that safely extracted pyrosomes from the water and back to their labs fully intact.
