Beyond its incredibly festive sale timing, the JBL Flip 5 has a lot going for it that makes it one of our favorite Bluetooth speakers out there. As we mentioned, the sound won't leave you disappointed — it's balanced and can handle some bass. Maybe the next most important spec for a portable speaker is how long it can play on a single charge, and the Flip 5 gives you a full 12 hours of playback time.

At under two pounds, it's also small enough that throwing it in a bag won't take up much space or weigh you down. For the hotter months, its water resistance will allow you to take it to the pool or beach without fear.
