UPDATE: Dec. 20, 2021, 10:15 a.m. EST We've updated this post just to say that the OLED Switch is now up for grabs at list price on Amazon. Walmart still has some in stock, but they're marked way up at the time of writing.
This is not a drill: Nintendo's new OLED Switch is back in stock on Amazon as of Dec. 20.
Perhaps even more impressively, it's listed for its usual retail price of $349.99. Many retailers have inflated the console's price this holiday season amid ongoing supply chain chaos and chip shortages — Walmart had it sitting at $515 ahead of Black Friday; it's currently $417.90 there — so this is an extremely rare find.
The only downside is that it won't arrive in time for Christmas, with delivery dates ranging from Dec. 30 to Jan. 4 for the one with white Joy-Cons and Jan. 13 to 14 for the neon red/blue Joy-Con version. Santa will just have to write an IOU.
As a quick refresher, the OLED Switch debuted in October with a larger, more vivid 7-inch OLED screen, enhanced audio, an upgraded kickstand, and 64GB of internal storage — that's double the memory of the standard Switch console. It's not quite the Nintendo Switch Pro that everyone was hoping for, "but it's still the best version of this console," wrote Mashable senior reporter Adam Rosenberg. If you've never purchased a Switch before or haven't yet upgraded from the original model from 2017, it's definitely worth a buy.
