Amazon Prime members get 20% off basics like coffee pods and pet supplies when they spend $50 or more

Now that the price of home goods is going up, this Amazon Basics deal is definitely a welcome announcement.

As of Feb. 16, Amazon has announced that Prime members can get an additional 20% off when purchasing select items from the Amazon Basics section. There's an entire cadre of kitchen, pet, and office supply goods.

How the additional discount works:

Items can only be Amazon brand.
The maximum discount per eligible order is $100.
Items must be ordered at the same time.
Taxes, shipping and handling, or gift wrap charges don't count toward the amount eligible for this discount.
