The best way to watch NFL football this year could be this Walmart+ and Paramount+ deal

a lone football sits on some green turf

Save $59: A $12.95/month Walmart+ membership now includes a free Paramount+ Essential subscription. The streaming service typically costs $4.99/month, saving you $59 over the year.

Happy NFL regular season kickoff to all who celebrate.

If you're already planning menus for your watch parties — and scheming up ways to watch games without cable — you might want to sign up for Walmart+. That $12.95/month subscription gets you free shipping or grocery delivery on any order and a free Paramount+ Essential subscription. (The bundle was announced earlier this summer but just went live on Sept. 7.) The streaming service, which typically costs $4.99/month, includes live access to all NFL games airing on CBS.

Why you want Walmart+

You're probably familiar with the benefits of Amazon Prime. Walmart+ operates similarly, plus in-person perks like gas discounts and a scan-and-go app feature to skip checkout in-store. Members get free shipping on all online orders with no delivery minimum as well as free delivery from their local store.

Walmart+ members are VIPs during big shopping holidays like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and sales like Walmart+ Weekend: Walmart's very competitive response to Prime Day. (Amazon has floated the idea of holding a second Prime Day sometime this fall, so prospective Walmart+ members, do what you will with that information.) During such events, Walmart+ members get early and exclusive access to doorbusters that might be quick to sell out, including PS5 and Xbox Series X restocks.

Why you want Paramount+

As the replacement for CBS' now-dead streaming service, Paramount+ is the place to watch CBS live. Though the Essential plan doesn't extend to 24/7 live news or your local CBS station like Premium does, Essential does include NFL on CBS live. About a quarter of the 2022 NFL schedule is airing on CBS, with the rest flip-flopping between NBC, FOX, ABC, and Amazon.

As for the on-demand library, Paramount+ has something for everyone in the family. It's home to nostalgic throwbacks from Nickelodeon and MTV, recent hits like Yellowjackets and The Good Fight, reality icons like RuPaul's Drag Race, and kids' favorites like Paw Patrol. Movies include new releases like Orphan: First Kill and Honor Society.
