PREORDER: Kirby and the Forgotten Land is coming out next spring, and as of Sept. 27, you can reserve a copy on Amazon for $59.99.
Nintendo may have fumbled the reveal of its upcoming Kirby game ahead of last week's Nintendo Direct, but that shouldn't make fans any less excited: Next year's Kirby and the Forgotten Land will feature full 3D gameplay for the first time in the franchise's 29-year history.
If you want to reserve a copy ahead of time (smart!), just head on over to Amazon — the game was available for preorder there for $59.99 as of Sept. 27. It hasn't landed at Walmart, Best Buy, Target, GameStop, or the Nintendo eShop yet, but we'll let you know if/when that changes.
(Ignore Amazon's note about a Dec. 31, 2022 release date, by the way — Nintendo has confirmed that the game is launching for the Switch in the spring.)
Forgotten Land places our puffy pink protagonist in some sort of post-apocalyptic world filled with overgrown shopping malls and abandoned amusement parks — it's very The Last of Us, but cuter. (Also, no throat-ripping fungus zombies.) Kirby's iconic swallow-enemies-to-steal-their-powers shtick will come in real handy as you explore these mysterious cityscapes, which are teeming with new characters and collectibles.
